For anyone who desires to make monetary donations to the Feeney's you can use PayPal if you desire. One of their close friends has set up a PayPal account for them.
If you have a PayPal account, you can log on to paypal.com and click the Send Money tab. You put in the email feeneyfund@comcast.net and choose if you want to use your credit/debit card, paypal account or transfer from your bank account. (Note - there is a fee if you are using your credit/debit card.) The money is then available to them to use to shop online, use as a Paypal debit card, transfer funds electronically to their bank account or they can request Paypal to send them a check.
One of their trusted friends has access to this account as well and is helping them with these accounts so when you deposit money you will get a confirmation that the money was sent to Jennifer Curtin. This means your transaction worked correctly. They trust this person but if you don't like the idea of a third party being involved, you can always just mail them a check as well.
The Feeney's certainly are not requesting financial donations but so many people have asked how they can donate that this was set-up as a way to facilitate that process for those who desire to help. They are very appreciative of all the help they are receiving and Dietre says it lifts her spirits to read all the kind emails and comments left on the blog.
Thank you to whomever set up this blog, and for posting such detailed information so people can help in the most beneficial way possible. I hope all the people who are trying to put their lives back together in Vermont have a support system like Paul and Dietre. Good people take care of good people. It's heartwarming to see that in action, in the face of something heartbreaking.
